  • What kind of business does Orion accept?
    Orion accepts retail establishments, restaurants, lodging, mail/phone, wireless, e-commerce, financial institutions, wholesale operations, government/municipal, and service businesses.

  • How do I apply?

  • How long does it take to establish an account?
    Most accounts are approved in 24 hours, once all the paperwork is received. You will then be notified of your approval and given your Merchant ID Number by your sales representative.

  • What credit cards will I be able to accept?
    Orion will set you up to accept MasterCard, Visa, and Discover. Orion will also set you up to accept American Express if you have already received their approval. You may also accept Diners Club and JCB if applicable.

  • What's a chargeback?
    A chargeback is a credit card transaction that is billed back to the merchant (after the sale has been settled) as a result of a consumer dispute. Typical cardholder disputes involve product delivery failure or product/service dissatisfaction.

  • Who will review my application?
    Your application will be reviewed by our underwriting department. All information provided to Orion is strictly confidential. Please see our

  • After I'm approved, when can I begin processing credit cards?
    You can begin processing credit cards immediately upon activation of your POS software.

  • When will I be paid for credit card transactions?
    Typically, funds will be in your account within 48-72 hours.

  • What kind of customer service support is available?
    Technical support is available 24/7. Other support, including information about deposits, balances, and statements, is available during regular business hours.

  • Will I receive an activity statement?
    You will receive a monthly statement that contains information about deposits, transactions, total sales, and applicable charges.

  • Will terminal training be available?
    Training in-person or over the telephone is available. Please contact your sales representative.
